【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverroomairconditionersratednotmorethan600voltsalternatingcurrent(ac)andintendedforinstallationinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.Forthepurposesofthisstandard,roomairconditionersincludepackagedterminalairconditioners,specialpurposeairconditioners,andrecreationalvehicleairconditioners.Theyarefactory-madeencasedassembliesdesignedasaunitprimarilytoprovidefreedeliveryofconditionedairtoanenclosedspace,room,orzone.Thisequipmentisintendedforinstallationinawindow,throughawall,orasaconsolelocatedinoradjacenttotheroom,zone,orspacetobeconditioned.Theseunitsemployhermeticrefrigerantmotor-compressorswithfactory-chargedrefrigerationsystemsandincludemeansforcirculatingair.Theymayalsohaveprovisionforheatingandventilation.Aconsoleorin-walltypeairconditionermayadditionallyserveasingleadjacentroom.Suchunitsemploycabinetorenclosureconstructionspermittingattachmentofanairdischargeadapterorductwhichextendsintotheadjacentroom.Recreationalvehicleairconditionersmayalsoemployalimitedamountofductwork.Theserequirementsdonotcoverequipmentintendedforconnectiontoductsystemsforthepurposeofprovidingcentralcooling,heating,orboth.
